The Grade 12 Physical Sciences course covers the CAPS-prescribed Physics and Chemistry curriculum. Physics topics include mechanics, momentum, projectile motion, work, energy, waves, electrostatics, electric circuits, electrodynamics and the photoelectric effect. Chemistry topics include organic chemistry, reaction rates, chemical equilibrium, acids and bases, stoichiometry and electrochemistry. The course combines conceptual explanations, calculations, practical investigations and examination-style questions to strengthen scientific reasoning and prepare learners for the National Senior Certificate examinations.
